Mobley adds another record to his list

Already the owner of one statewide record and 8 Powell High Football individual season and career records, Dy'shawn Mobley has added another record to his list of achievements.  The 6' and 210 pound University of Kentucky commitment set the single game record for rusing attempts and rushing yardage on Saturday in the Toyota East-West All Star game, played at Burke-Tarr Stadium on the campus of Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City.

Mobley carried the ball 26 times for 118 yards, but that wasn't enough as the West team made a late stop inside the 5 yard line to preserve a 20-14 win over the East.  The West side now leads the series 3 games to 2.

For his work, Mobley was named the East team's Offensive MVP.

Powell quarterback Dustin McPhetridge started at quarterback for the East, and carried the ball 2 times for 24 yards and completed 2 of 6 pass attempts before leaving the game with a sprained ankle in the 3rd quarter.  McPhetridge indicated after the game that the injury is not serious.

The third Panther participating in the game was defensive tackle Tony Foster, who was in on several tackles for the East defense.

Powell Head Coach Matt Lowe served as an assistant coach for the East, coaching receivers.
